OUR VISION The Washington State Coalition of Mental Health Professionals and Consumers is dedicated to advocating and supporting ethical mental health treatment. We promote mental health benefits as a vital component of standard medical care. Mental health services shall maintain respect for the therapeutic process while balancing high-quality treatment and cost efficiency. The patient-therapist relationship and the patient's right to maximum confidentiality must be protected. OUR MISSION Preserve choice, confidentiality, integrity, and quality in mental health services. Lobby to educate legislators about quality mental health care. Educate and support professionals and consumers. Influence political and insurance industry policy to include mental health as a vital component of health care. Empower mental health consumers to influence health care reform. |
